Programs Offered at Our Libertyville Preschool
Young at Heart Center provides programs for children aged six weeks to six years. Our philosophy is based on providing a safe, nurturing learning environment. Allowing the children who enroll at Young at Heart to explore and expand on their own individual capabilities while introducing age appropriate curriculum and enriching programs, creates an amazing Center full of education, quality care and fun. Learning through play is a way that benefits children by encouraging imagination and social skills while reinforcing educational elements that are implemented in our centers curriculum. Young at Heart wants your child to begin his/her education with a love of learning.
Our programs include:
- Infant Program: Young at Heart Center is a warm, welcoming environment that offers your baby a positive first introduction to daycare. Your family and our caregivers will be a team, working closely together to provide a classroom that supports each new developmental milestone throughout your babies 1st year.
- Toddler Program: Our teachers provide your toddler with a program that nurture your little one while continuing to provide new educational opportunities that begin to develop during the 2nd year. As speech and walking develops during this year our teachers will be ready to guide the toddlers as needed and offer many new learning opportunities.
- Two Year Old Program: Two year olds are changing quickly. Our program and teachers will be here to guide them as they learn skills, begin speaking/socializing in new ways and continue to need active physical exercise. The twos classroom at Young at Heart Center is filled with active fun activities and is set in a positive environment that helps emerging independence flourish.
- Preschool Program: Our program for children aged three to six focuses on hands-on learning and education and having fun! A preschoolers day starts with a love of learning so we offer an organized program with a curriculum using semi-structured playtime. A variety of activities are available for both morning and afternoon lesson plan times. Art, music, dramatic play, cooking, literature and several opportunities for daily exercise are only a few examples of the many educational and social programming offered at Young at Heart. A lesson plan is posted on each rooms parent board so you are informed of the many activities we incorporate into you child’s day at preschool.
